Solskjaer delays Odion Ighalo’s UEFA champions league debut

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer kept Odion Ighalo on the bench again in their Champions League game against Istanbul Basaksehir on Tuesday.

Ighalo has made the Manchester United’s match day squad in all four matches in the champions league so far, but is yet to have a taste of action in the competition.

The 31 year-old Forward was left on bench throughout the game at Old Trafford, despite Manchester United recording a 4-1 home win against the Turkish Super Lig champions.

Ighalo has just few months on his contract with Manchester United and could return to his parent club, Shanghai Shenhua, in January 2021.

Meanwhile Tuesday’s win means the Red Devils are on course to finishing top of their group and also book their place in the round of 16.

A brace from Bruno Fernandes and goals from Marcus Rashford and Daniel James secured the win.
