Stephen Eze is enjoying life in Bulgaria

Nigeria defender and Lokomotiv Plovdiv’s Stephen Eze has described his first-team role with the club as a massive development for him, after amassing 17 appearances for the club this season.


The Nigerian defender’s appearances under coach Bruno Akrapović has been wonderful, and in a chat with, the defense stalwart said it would surely make him a better player while thanking fans and well-wishers for their prayers.


Having started the 2018-19 Bulgaria First League season in an uninspiring manner, losing their first two games to CSKA Sofia and Slavia Sofia, Bruno Akrapovic’s charges sit in 8th position in the top division in Bulgaria.


“I’m very happy with the development, and I believe it will make me a better player”. I just want to thank my family and friends for their prayers but most especially Almighty God for everything”


‘I will continue to do my best for my country if called upon as well as my club where I work, Eze concluded.


Eze will hope to continue at the heart of defence for the Smurfs as they welcome Spartak Subotica in a club friendly before resuming league action on the 17th of this month against Levski Sofia away from home.
