Edith Agoye says Sunshine Stars has to focus on their next league game against Champions Rivers United.

Sunshine Stars kick started their campaign with a 1-1 draw in their opening fixture of the campaign on Sunday.

Chibuike Osimhen broke the deadlock for the hosts, just before the break, but Sunshine Stars snatched a point with a stoppage time equalizer from Ibrahim Yusuf.

Next for Sunshine Stars is home clash against Rivers United, and Agoye feels his side must focus on the game and forget about the draw against Doma United.

“It’s not enough for us to be confident but we have to be able to do the job that is necessary for us to win against Rivers United,” Agoye told the club’s media.

“They will not be an easy team to play being the defending champions, but Sunshine Stars is a strong team and we know our strength. The boys are ready to go and we want to compliment the away draw with a home win.”

Sunshine Stars will face Rivers United in Akure on Wednesday.
