The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped one place in the latest FIFA men’s ranking, released this morning.
Currently without a coach following Finidi George’s resignation and struggling in the World Cup qualifiers, the Super Eagles are now in 39th position, down from 38th in the previous ranking.
Other African teams have also seen drops due to their lack of action. Morocco fell two spots to 14th, Senegal dropped one spot to 19th, and Ivory Coast slid one spot to 38th.
In Europe, Spain has surged from fifth to third position globally after their impressive performance in the Euros.
The top ten teams in the world are now Argentina, France, Spain, England, Brazil, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, Colombia, and Portugal.
Meanwhile, the top ten teams in Africa are Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Tunisia, Algeria, Cameroon, Mali, and South Africa.
