Super Eagles have lost the fear factor – Ekpo

Former Nigeria international Friday Ekpo believes the Super Eagles have lost the fear factor.

Ekpo also charged Eagles head Coach Jose Peseiro needs to work hard to earn back the trust of fans after recording his third defeat in five games.

The team lost in a friendly match to Algeria, falling 2-1 courtesy Youcef Atal’s spectacular shot from range. Tuesday’s defeat followed a 2-2 draw against Algeria’s B team in a practice game last Friday in Constantine.

In a chat with brila.net, Ekpo insists there’s a big problem now with regards to Super Eagles’ outlook and lack of confidence of football fans in the team’s ability.

‘Compared to the quality of players available to the Coach, the results have been poor especially against top opponents. We have lost the fear factor,’ Ekpo stressed.
