Former Super Eagles head Coach Gernot Rohr says the team has retrogressed, since his dismissal last year November.
Rohr disclosed he watched the three time African Champions against Portugal last month and can hardly recognized the team.
“I watched the game against Portugal in Lisbon. I didn’t recognize my players at all. I wasn’t happy with how they played and the result.”
“I never lost a match 4-0 to any team, during my five years as coach,” The former Gabon boss was quoted by veteran journalist Osasu Obayiuwana.
Rohr led Super Eagles to the 2018 FIFA World Cup and 2019 African Cup of Nations, where they finished third in the latter.
He remains Nigeria’s longest serving coach, and was in charge from 2016 to 2021, leading the MNT in 58 matches; winning 31, with 13 drawn and 14 lost.
