Super Eagles Head Coach to Pen Two-year Contract

Super Eagles Head Coach to Pen Two-year Contract

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has concluded its search for the next head coach of the Super Eagles, with an official announcement expected this week.

Sources close to the NFF revealed to Brila.net that the incoming coach will sign a two-year contract with the Federation.

The Federation’s Technical Committee had presented two options to the Executive Committee for approval.

A foreign coach is considered on a shortlist of three candidates, provided the Federation can meet his wage demands.

The second option was to appoint an indigenous coach, with former Nigerian international players Finidi George and Emmanuel Amuneke being considered for the role.

While the identity of the chosen coach has been kept under wraps, there are strong indications that the individual could be Nigerian.

Both Amuneke and current interim coach George are leading contenders for the position, with speculation rife about who will ultimately take the reins of the Super Eagles.
