The Super Eagles will hold their first training session in Uyo later today ahead of next week’s match against Rwanda.

On Monday, Super Eagles play their final group match in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, closing out a successful campaign.

The team has booked its place in the competition, the 21st AFCON appearance – only five countries have more.

Nigeria will also finish top of group D, with the team already on 11 points – Benin (7), Rwanda (5) and Libya (4).

Meanwhile, when the Super Eagles head out for their open training session today, interim coach Austin Eguavoen will be without three players.

Officially, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, right-back Ola Aina and midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru will not take part- all three have withdrew from the game.

Nwabali has been excused over personal issues, following the loss of his father. On the other hand, Aina and Dele-Bashiru will both miss the game due to injuries.

Aina did not fly into Uyo with the team from Abidjan, where they played against Benin Republic. The defender has reportedly returned to his club base in England.

Dele-Bashiru’s injury was confirmed after the Abidjan game, he had picked up a knock during training and was an unused substitute against Benin.
