Super Eagles Stoke City’s midfielder Ogenekaro Etebo has assured Nigerians that team will return from with the 2019 AFCON qualification ticket in the bag.

 

Only France-based Samuel Kalu has yet to touch down in Asaba camp of the Super Eagles but his teammates are not leaving any stone unturned as they intensified their preparation for an important AFCON qualifier game against the Bafana Bafana.

 

Etebo who was among the early arrival to the camp said the team’s quest to return to the Africa biggest football festival is less complicated with consecutive victories over Seychelles and Libya haven lost the opening game to South Africa.

 

After our away win in Libya, the task has been made less complicated, a win or a draw sends gets us qualified and am sure we will get that.

 

As you can see we are taking the match very seriously, we all made sure we got back to camp on time and confidence in the team is high’ he said after the team’s first training session on Tuesday.

The Former Warri Wolves midfielder also praised the state of the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, describing the facilities as world class , while urging the government to maintain the stadium.

The Super Eagles will leave the country for Johannesburg on Thursday to keep a date with Bafana Bafana of South Africa in 2019AFCON qualifier Group E top of the table clash.
