Super Eagles will qualify for 2026 World Cup — Etebo

Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo admits watching the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup from home still hurts, but he’s confident the team will return to the big stage sooner than expected.

The Eagles lost out to Ghana in the final preliminary round of qualifiers, after attending the last three editions in South Africa, Brazil and Russia.

“I have had good memories, was at the last edition in Russia and I had hopes of playing in Qatar, but it was not meant to be,” Etebo said.

The next edition will be co-hosted by United States, Canada and Mexico, and Etebo said the Super Eagles will do everything to be there.

“It hurts not playing in Qatar but as a team, we will ensure we qualify for the next edition,” He concluded.
