Manchester City youngster Tai Sodje has revealed that scoring hat trick against Liverpool remains his best moments in the jersey of the Cityzens.
The 17-year-old striker has been in good form for City’s U-18 side, scoring in almost every game so far this season.
Sodje has been at City since 2015 and he is a skillful center-forward who marries vision, craft, guile, and potent finishing power to great effect.
A prolific goal-scorer, Sodje is also a versatile striker and can also operate to impressive effect on both the right or left flanks.
The teenager made his bow for the Under-18s in February of this year, coming on as a substitute in our Under-18 Premier League Cup semi-final win away at Reading.
In an interview with Manchester City’s official website, Sodje described his favorite moment for the club.
“There are a quite few but scoring that hat-trick away at Liverpool earlier this season stands out. It was a big game and to do it at their ground made it even more special.
Tai has made a hugely impressive start to the 2020/21 season and already has five goals to his credit – including a hat-trick in our recent 3-1 win at Liverpool.
The striker who can play in any role across the front three has already established himself as a key part of head coach Carlos Vicens’ exciting new-look squad.
“I would say that I’m a goal scorer – but I can play across the front three. I enjoy playing all three positions and like to think I have a good understanding of them all.” He said.
Tai Sodje is the nephew of former Super Eagles players Efe Sodje and Sam Sodje, he’s also eligible to play for Nigeria.
