Abia Warriors coach Emmanuel Deutsch said Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) as experience a tremendous improvement compare to the past.
The experience Cameroonian is of the opinion that the standard of the officiating has improved as well and urged everyone to keep working hard until the league reach the expected level.
Deutsch’s side left Port Harcourt unhurt last Sunday after holding Rivers United FC to a barren draw in the match day six of NPFL at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium Port Harcourt.
“Football is something you cannot predict. You must merit penalty before it will be awarded, this season is not as business as usually,” Deutch said.
The former Delta Force manager added that this season’s NPFL is the most difficult he has experienced, because all teams have qualities at their disposal, which has made easy games a thing of the past.
“This is one of the most difficult NPFL seasons I have seen. We train so hard for each game because there are no easy matches anymore.” He concluded
