Tolu Arokodare bags another brace for Valmiera to take his tally to 14 goals

Nigerian player Tolu Arokodare bagged Valmiera FC in their 2 – 3 victory over FK Spartaks in a Latvian Virsliga clash on Wednesday.

The match took place at the Slokas stadium and Tolu Arokodare was the hero for his side once again as they secured a vital away win.

 

Tolu Arokodare scored the first goal of the game inside the 11th minutes of the encounter, but Nemanja Belaković leveled the scored for the home side four minutes later.

 

The home side added their second two minutes, thanks to a superb finish from the 21-year-old Nicaraguan footballer Ariagner Smith.

 

Valmiera however responded straight away and it was Tolu Arokodare who restored the parity on the stroke of half time before Daniels Skopenko scored the winner in the 57th minutes.

 

Tolu Arokodare has now scored nine goals in the four matches, he also took his tally to 14 goals in 14 appearances and 1, 249 minutes for the club this season and has also contributed 2 assists.

 

He has also leveled with Tosin Aiyegun who held the record for most goals by a Nigerian in a single season in the Latvian Virsliga since 2015.

 

Arokodare could set a new record because there are more than 10 games to play in the Latvian league.
