Turkish giants Galatasaray wants to keep Henry Onyekuru

Galatasaray wants to sign Henry Onyekuru on a permanent deal, according to media reports from Turkey.

Onyekuru spent last season on loan at the club from Ligue 1 club, Monaco, and reports from Turkish tabloid, Fanatik suggested that the club wants him to stay put and commit his long-term future to them.

According to Turkish sports daily, Fanatik, the club manager, Fatih Terim wants the Nigerian winger to be part of his squad for next season and he has communicated his wishes to the club’s hierarchy.

Meanwhile Greek giants Olympiacos also showed interest in signing the attacker, but Galatasaray remains his preferred destination.

Onyekuru reportedly on his part wants to stay in Turkey and Monaco is willing to listen to offers but Galatasaray appeared to be way off his valuation at the moment.

The next few days will be decisive as both clubs are expected to reach common ground on the player.

Onyekuru who has a contract with Monaco until 2024 scored four of his five goals in 14 Turkish Super Lig appearances last term.
