Nigeria U-17 MNT head coach Garba Manu has emphasized the necessity of defeating Togo to advance in the championship.

Following a goalless draw against Burkina Faso in their opening match, Nigeria clinched their first victory with a 1-0 win over Niger in their second game.

Garba expressed confidence in his team’s preparations and stressed the importance of securing a win in the crucial upcoming fixture against Togo.

“We have worked hard to secure victory,” he stated, underscoring the team’s determination to progress to the next stage of the tournament.

“We will have to beat Togo on Wednesday, they are a good side and we will not underrate them.

“We have trained the players on goal-scoring drills, Nigeria should have scored 3 goals against Niger.

“So, we hope that the players will convert their chances against Togo,” he said.
