Nigeria striker, Umar Sadiq is in contention for his first senior appearance in a European club competition when Rangers host Shkupi in the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round on Thursday.
Umar trained with the first team on Wednesday despite only joining the on loan from AS Roma 24 hours before.
The 21 year-old caught the eyes of Rangers Boss, Steven Gerrard, in his first days of the latter’s appointment, and worked to make the player his ninth signing of the summer.
Rangers were runners-up in the Europa League in 2007-08 in the old format as UEFA Cup.
