Calvin Bassey was impressive as Ajax Amsterdam bounced back from 1-6 home defeat against Napoli with a win against FC Volendam.
The Nigerian international was among the goalscorers as Ajax trashed their hosts 2-4 to end a run of four game in all competition with a win.
It was a perfect response from the former Rangers defender who has been under heavy scrutiny since the defeat embarrassing Champions League defeat on Tuesday .
Coach Alfred Schreuder deployed the defender to left back position and it was a move that work wonders.
