Italian giants AC Milan and record UEFA Champions League winner Real Madrid are among the club listed to be in the race to sign the Nigerian international.
The 24-year-old made 24 goals contribution for the Yellow Submarines last season.
Addressing the speculations around the player, Villarreal chief executive officer, Roig Negueroles said they are open to doing business with interested clubs, but has to be at the right price.
“Samuel is a fantastic guy who has been with us for many years. We know that he would like to play for a bigger club and if there is an opportunity this summer we will have to sit down and discuss.
“But it will require a good offer (to sell him), he still has one year left on his contract.”
The Super Eagles forward joined Villarreal from Diamond Football Academy in 2019 and has a contract until 2024.
He helped the club win the UEFA Europa League two years ago.
