Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum has showered encomium on his Players after securing a spot in the 2024 Olympic Games.

Nigeria WNT sealed their qualification following Tuesday’s goalless result in Pretoria against South Africa. The Falcons had won the first leg 1-0 in Abuja, four days earlier.

Waldrum lauded his team’s resilience and commended their performance in the crucial match.

“The team did everything we asked of them to get the result,” said the Coach in his post-match presser.

“We knew South Africa will come at us, we respect them but this was our seventh or eighth clean sheet, we have been very good defensively.

“With time and some proper work, we will also be better on the offensive side, which everyone is asking for.”

The team will now face Brazil, Spain and Japan in the Women’s football event at the Olympic Games in Paris this June.
