We are not afraid of Italy — Daniel Bameyi

Flying Eagles midfielder Daniel Bameyi says his side is battle ready for Wednesday’s clash with the young Azurri of Italy.

The Flying Eagles started their campaign with a 2-1 win over the Dominican Republic at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas, Mendoza.

While the Italians recorded a fine victory 3-2 win over defending Champions Brazil same day.

Both sides sit first and second on the table and the winner of the encounter is guaranteed a place in the next round.

Speaking with brila.net from the camp, Bameyi said, they’ll give everything to achieve good results against the Italians.

“They beat Brazil and we are opportune to watch the first half.

“If a team can beat Brazil, you know they are a very good side, but we aren’t scared of any team.

“We are Nigeria, we’ll fight for good results. No team is unbeatable. ” He told Brila.net.
