Rivers United Joseph Onoja has said the club is fully ready for the clash with Wydad Casablanca of Morocco.
The Nigeria Professional Football League Champions will host the Moroccans at the Adoke Amasiamaka stadium on Sunday in the first leg of the qualifying round.
According to bookamers, the Stanley Eguma’s tutored side are the underdogs in the tie, but Onoja said they are focused on provingtheir doubters wrong, adding that they know what’s at stake.
“The spirit in camp has been warm and receptive. We know what isat stake.”
“We are not thinking about our opponent, we are thinking about ourselves, what we can do.”
“As far as we are concerned, we are the champions of Nigeria and we have to play like champions.“

The second leg of the game is scheduled for Morocco next weekend and overall winner will advance to the Group phase of the competition.
