Super Eagles defender Shehu Abdullahi says the Super Eagles had mixed emotions during their last international games.
The Super Eagles suffered a shocking defeat at home to the Central African Republic in a FIFA World Cup qualifying match played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium last week.
The defeat ended Nigeria’s 41-year old unbeaten home record in FIFA World Cup qualifiers, but the Gernot Rohr’s tutored got atoned for the defeat by beating the Wild Beasts 2-0 in the reverse fixture three days later.
Reflecting on both results, Abdullahi who plays for Omonia Nicosia says the team had mixed emotions but remains confident they will finish the qualifiers in style.
“We had mixed moments during the international break and we appreciate your (fans) amazing support. We will get the job done, Believe”. He said
The Super Eagles will be back in action next month. They will take on Liberia in Accra, before returning to Lagos for the final game against Cape Verde.
