CR Belouizdad head coach Beketi Karim says he’s happy with his side’s performance against Akwa United on Sunday.
The Algerian Champions lost 1-0 to The Promise Keepers in the first leg of CAF Champions League preliminary round tie played at the Nest of Champions in Uyo.
CR Belouizdad were beaten by a lone goal scored by Friday Ubong’s goal three minutes from time.
Assessing his side performance, Beketi Karim said they gave their all and he’s confident they will turn the tie around next week.
“We performed well, gave everything and tried our best. The return leg should be in our favour.
“The team played better in the first half and looked tired at the second stanza. On the whole, we have learnt our lesson.”
CR Belouizdad will host the Nigerian. Champions next week.
