West Brom hands Oluwasemilogo Ajayi “Important” Contract

West Bromwich Albion handed Oluwasemilogo Ajayi a new contract as reward for his stellar qualities and Manager Steve Bruce has backed the CB to continue to be an important player in the side.

On Monday, Ajayi signed a new three year deal with the Baggies that will keep him at the Hawthorns until 2025.

The Nigerian established himself as one of the key players for the side, since arriving the club in 2019.

Describing the 28 year-old’s value to the team, The Baggies Coach said, “I’m absolutely delighted Semi has committed his future to us.

“He’s arguably been our best player since I arrived at the club back in February, and I believe he has all the attributes needed to be a Premier League defender.

“This signing is key for us in terms of what we want to do next season and the rebuild which needs to happen. Semi is a crucial player in our team and I’m delighted he’s extended his stay.”

In the just concluded Championship season, Oluwasemilogo Ajayi made 31 appearances, contributing a goal and two assists.
