Why was Eguavoen unhappy with Watford striker Dennis?

Super Eagles technical adviser Austin Eguavoen was reportedly unhappy with Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis’s failure to report to camp earlier today.

 

Dennis did not report to camp for the World Cup qualification clash with Ghana, while his Club mates William Troost Ekong and Oghenekaro Etebo have done so as soon as they arrived in Nigeria.

 

Kelechi Ihenacho who also featured for Premier League Side Leicester City over the weekend is also in camp.

 

Reports have it that, there is no communication from the player or his camp and it was confirmed that Coach Eguavoen became unhappy with the situation.

 

Dennis’ last match for Watford was on March 13th of March and the 23-year-old  wasn’t listed for the weekend game.

 

Recalled Dennis also angered the Nigerian football community when he failed to turn for the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

 

Although, the Watford pointman has now arrived in the camp as confirmed by the Super Eagles media team.

The arrival of the player took the number of players in camp to Fourteen.
