Work permit stops Onyekuru’s Everton return

Super Eagles striker Henry Onyekuru is likely to remain with Turkish giants Galatasary as his parent club Everton FC failed in their attempt to secure a work permit that would see him return back to England before the close of the January window transfer.

The former Eupen of Belgium striker joined the Toffees back on 30 June 2017 for £7 million and was immediately sent on loan to Anderlecht where he struggled to replicate his good form.

However the 21-year-old striker has become a hit following his impressive form in front of goal at Turkish side Galatasaray, the Club he of his second loan from Everton.

Onyekuru still has three years left on his contract with the Goodison Park lords and the Club are desperate to cut short his loan to get him involved in the race for Europa league place.

Everton feels the Nigerian has developed to a premier league andwill help to reduce the goal scoring burden on their record signing Richarlison who’s the Club’s only reliable forward with Marcus Silva not convinced with the abilities of Ademola Lookman and Cenk Tosun.
