World Cup break won’t affect Napoli’s title momentum — Osimhen

Victor Osimhen doesn’t believe the World Cup break will halt Napoli’s momentum as they picked maximum points against Udinese in their last Serie A game for the international break.

The Serie A will go on a six weeks break for the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Napoli still top of the standings.

Luciano Spalletti’s men stretched their winning streak to 11 games and are 11 points ahead of second place Lazio after Saturday’s win.

The team won’t be back playing together competitively until January 4, and there are suggestions that, they may find it difficult to regain the impeccable form.

Osimhen however played down the claim as he believes the break won’t be bad for the team.

The striker also wish his club mates, a successful World Cup campaign in Qatar.

“It’s not a problem, we have some days off, we return as a group.”

“I wish my teammates a good tournament, we will come back very soon and work together as a team,” He concluded.
