Former Ivory Coast Captian and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has reportedly agreed on a move back to Greek club Olympiacos.

The 35-year-old ex-Barca star was released by City at the end of last season after an eight-year stint with the Premier League champions.

Toure’s agent confirmed on Tuesday that the player had passed a medical in London, but The Mirror reports that Toure will rejoin former club Olympiacos this week.

The report adds that the Ivorian midfielder’s preferred destination was the English capital, but no clubs held a firm interest in the player.

The former African footballer of the year spent one season at Olympiacos between 2005 and 2006, winning the league title and the Greek Cup
