Daniel Itodo talks about the effects of football ban in Nigeria

Plateau United left-back Daniel Itodo has spoken about the continued restriction on contact sports especially football in Nigeria ahead of next season’s Champions League and Confederation’s Cup.

The continuous ban on football is seen to have effects on the continental teams in Nigeria. As it stands, the ban will alter all process of preparations while other teams in the competition have already resumed training ahead of the CAF Championship.

In a chat with Brila.net, the defender stated that the continued ban is bad and it’s already affecting football teams in Nigeria and has called on the relevant authorities to do the needful by taking the restriction off football activities immediately in Nigeria.

”It’s very bad for the restriction to continue like this because it’s affecting us all, other countries that will be involved in the caf continental tournament have already resumed with their leagues, but here in Nigeria, we are not doing anything. This will definitely affect all the teams representing Nigeria in the competition,” Itodo said.
