Francis Coquelin has heaped praises Nigerian forward Samuel Chukwueze after helping Villarreal to a 2 – 0 victory Real Sociedad in their pre-season game.
Coquelin who recently signed for the club from Valencia was part of the goalscorers, and it was Chukwueze who provided the assist for the former Arsenal midfielder.
Chukwueze sent a great towards the path of Coquelin, who buried the ball inside the net, Villarreal doubled the lead in the second half after Paco Alcacer converted a penalty after Moi Gómez was brought down.
An elated Coquelin took to social media to appreciate the effort of the Nigerian who has continued to dazzle in the preseason.
“Good victory and great work from the whole team. We keep improving. Happy to score my first croquet goal. Thank you ‘Chuku Chuku’ @chukwueze_8 for the assistance,” Coquelin posted on his social media handle.
Villarreal will be in action against Levante this Sunday before their the 2020/2021 premiere season opener against Kelechi Nwakali’s Huesca.
