English Premier League side, Fulham have shown interests in Nigerian international Defender, Calvin Bassey.

According to The Athletic reporter and transfer expert, David Ornstein, Fulham have contacted Ajax, informing them about their interest in Bassey.

Ornstein reports the Cottagers also followed up their interest with an official bid for the player.​

It is understood that a bid in the region of £15 million has been submitted to Ajax. He is also wanted by Brighton & Hove Albion.

The former Eredivisie Champions signed the player for £18m from Glasgow Rangers twelve months ago.

The 23-year-old signed five-year contract with Ajax last season, and has four years left on the deal.
