Selection headache for Nigeria’s Coach ahead of Canada Friendly

Selection headache for Nigeria’s Coach ahead of Canada Friendly

Super Falcons head Coach Randy Waldrum is impressed with his goalkeepers Chiamaka Nnadozie and Tochukwu Oluehi and believes they’ll be around for long time.

Both Falcons goalkeepers Nnadozie and Oluehi featured in the 2-0 defeat against Canada in Vancouver last Saturday.

Nnadozie was named in the starting XI and later made way for Oluehi in the second half of the game.

Ahead of the second leg International friendly, Randy is undecided on who starts in goal against Canada, but also suggested he’s happy with the selection headache.

“I thought both goalkeepers are fantastic. We saw Tochi in two big games now against US last summer and obviously came on for Chiamaka against Canada.”

“Both goalkeepers have played extremely well. We have good goalkeepers for our team now.”

The former Trinidad and Tobago boss also singled out Atletico Madrid’s midfielder Rasheedat Ajibade for praises after her performance against the Canadians.

“I thought Rasheedat was our best player in the first half from both teams on the pitch, she was fantastic.”

“Then we saw a little bit of the players who came in. They did well and it was the first time we brought some of them in. It was good to see them in that kind of environment.”

The Falcons will take on Canada in another encounter on Monday night at the Starlight Stadium.
