Enyimba FC Midfielder Austin Oladapo describes his teammate John Noble as the best goalkeeper in the NPFL and deserves his invitation to the Super Eagles.
Noble, who has been in fantastic form for Enyimba this season, was handed a debut call up to the National team for the 2022 AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho.
The goalkeeper started the season as second choice, but was drafted into the team after Olufemi Kayode got injured.
Noble helped Enyimba reach the group phase of the CAF Confederation Cup when he saved two penalties and scored the winner against Rivers United.
In a chat with brila.net shortly before the team departed for South Africa, Oladapo said, “He’s the best in the league at the moment and we are happy to see his effort has been rewarded.
“The squad celebrated with him when we heard about the news and we really wish him luck and hope he get opportunity to play.”
