Shooting Stars Head Coach, Edith Agoye insisted that his side was lucky to embarrassing defeat in the hand of Nilayo FC on Sunday.
A 76th-minute goal by substitute, Paul Ogunkoya handed Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan their second defeat of the season in the NNL.
The home side dominated the match from start to finish and should have won by a clear margin, but they were let down by poor finishing in front of goal.
In his reaction to the defeat, Edith Agoye told brila.net after the game that his team was lucky to avoid embarrassment after such an underwhelming performance.
“Naturally you should be disappointed when you fail to pick three points or a point from a match after so well.”
“I don’t think the boys were complacent, they tried best, we played against a very good side who themselves are in need of results.”
