Over the weekend, Some Super Eagles players returned from the International break and were in action where some starred in their Matchday across Europe.

  • Moses Simon Inspires Gent To Beat Anderlecht

Gent Winger, Moses Simon was in action for Gent who kicked off their Belgian Championship play-offs campaign with a 2-0 away win against Anderlecht on Sunday.

Second-half goals from Brecht Dejaegere and Yuya Kubo in the 47th and 86th minutes secured Gent all three points.

Simon was, however, replaced in the 72nd minute.

 

  • Isaac Success Stars In Malaga Win

Super Eagles forward Isaac Success featured for relegation-threatened Malaga who beat visiting Villareal 1-0. Success was replaced in the 66th minute while his Nigerian teammate Brown Ideye was not in Malaga’s matchday squad for the game.

Gonzalo Castro was the hero as he scored a 37th-minute penalty to give Malaga their first league win since December when they beat Real Sociedad 2-0 away.

On-loan Manchester City forward, Olanrewaju Kayode introduced himself on his debut for Shakhtar Donetsk with a goal in their 3-0 away win against Zorya in their Ukrainian top-flight clash on Sunday.

Chelsea Fullback, Victor Moses bagged an assist but Chelsea failed to close the gap on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League top four race.

 

  • Omeruo delighted with club’s return to winning ways

Kasimpasa defender Kenneth Omeruo was in action for Kasimpasa who ended their winless run with a 2-0 away win against 10-man Goztepe in the Turkish Super Lig (top flight) on Sunday.

Prior to the win against Goztepe, Kasimpasa had gone four straight league games without a win (two defeats, two draws).
