Adarabioyo blames Fulham’s draw at Newcastle on referee decision

Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo is happy with his side’s showing against Newcastle United, but is disappointed they allowed three points slip away.

Fulham led for much of the game at Saint James’s Park, via a Matt Richie own goal, but the Magpies leveled the score after Callum Wilson converted a controversial penalty.

Adarabioyo played the entire duration of the match on Saturday and was one of Fulham’s best players.

Speaking to Fulham’s official website, the former Manchester City player rues  the referee decision to award penalty to Newcastle United.

“I would take a point at an away ground like Newcastle’s but disappointed we didn’t take all three,” said Adarabioyo.

“The decision was against us but we just have to carry on with the game and I thought we did well.

“There was a turning point within the squad and the club. We are starting to look up now and challenge the other teams.

“It’s great to be out of the bottom three but we will keep pushing as we want to be higher up in the table,” he said.
