Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman has secured a spot in the UEFA Europa League Team of the Season for the 2023/24 campaign, as announced by UEFA’s Technical Observer panel.

Lookman emerged as one of the standout players in the tournament, contributing significantly to his team’s success.

The 26-year-old forward scored five goals and providing one assist throughout the campaign, with a memorable hat trick in the final against Bayer Leverkusen.

Among the selected players, Lookman is one of the four representatives from Atalanta, underscoring the Italian club’s impressive run in the competition.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Marseille is the only other African player to make the cut.

Victor Boniface missed out on inclusion in the team.
