AFCON qualifier: Algerian Referee for Nigeria v Sao Tome and Principe Match

Algerian referee, Lahlou Benbraham has been selected to officiate the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Nigeria and Sao Tome and Principe.

Assisting Benbraham will be his fellow Algerians, Brahim El Hamlaoui Sid Ali as Assistant Referee 1, and Mohammed Serradj as Assistant Referee 2. Nabil Boukhalfa, also from Algeria, will serve as the fourth official, while Prosper Addo from Ghana will take on the role of match commissioner. ​

 

 

Togolese Komi Konyoh has been appointed as the referee assessor, and Ozoemena Joseph from Nigeria will be the general match coordinator.

Nigeria’s national team, the Super Eagles, have already secured their spot in the 2023 AFCON tournament, which will be hosted by Cote d’Ivoire.

However, In order to finish as Group A winners ahead of Guinea-Bissau, Jose Peseiro’s side will need to obtain at least one point from this upcoming match against Sao Tome and Principe.​

The match is scheduled to take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, on Sunday.
