Sierra Leone striker, Ismael Dumbuya says the Leone Stars are battle ready for the Super Eagles when both teams face off in their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match this weekend.

Sierra Leone will host the Eagles in Monrovia and must win to to stay in contention for the qualification.​

While the Super Eagles need a point at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, to seal qualification for the tournament in Cote D’Ivoire, Dumbuya is however confident they can cause an upset.

“I hope to make the final squad for the game against Nigeria,” the LISCR FC forward said in a short video posted on the official Twitter handle of the Sierra Leone Football Federation.​

“We want to beat Nigeria and qualify for the next AFCON,” He concluded.
