Finidi George, the head coach of Enyimba, remains confident that the Nigerian champions can secure a spot in the semi-finals of the African Football League.
Despite trailing Wydad Athletic Club. Enyimba 1-0, Finidi stated that his side can get the needed win in the second leg.
Enyimba will face Wydad in the second leg of their quarter-final matchup today at the Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca later today.
The Aba Elephants arrived Morocco on Tuesday and had their first training session on Wednesday.
“If the match was today, I would have been concerned about not getting enough rest, but we have a good amount of time to prepare for it,” Finidi told a press conference.
Finidi is optimistic about a turnaround in Morocco.
“We have a young team, but all the players have dreams and we are here to achieve qualification.
“This will happen if all the players deliver a good performance.
Winner of the game will advance to the last four newly formed African Football League.
