Aiteo Cup: We’ll underrate Tornadoes at our own peril – Maikaba

Akwa United head coach, Abdu Maikaba said Niger Tornadoes pack a punch and they could be real trouble as they clash in today’s Aiteo Cup final at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.

Tornadoes dispatched NPFL champions, Plateau United and Cup holders, FC IfeanyiUbah on their way to the final.

“This is a Cup final and I expect it to be a very difficult game,” Maikaba told npfl.ng.

“Remember that Tornadoes like us passed through some difficult opponents and what they have achieved is something that no one can look at them and underrate them.

“They are a very dangerous and strong opposition. They showed it in their previous matches by defeating the (AITEO) Cup holders FC Ifeanyiubah and also beat the league champions Plateau United.

“So we will be doing ourselves a disservice if we think it will be an easy game for us.”
