Ajibade fires Super Falcons to FIFA World Cup

Super Falcons have qualified for the semi-final of the ongoing CAF Women’s African Cup of Nations.

The team edged bitter rivals the Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon in the quarter-final match-up played at Casablanca on Thursday.
After a goalless first 45 minutes, Athletico Madrid’s forward Rasheedat Ajibade made the difference a few minutes into the second half as she scored the winner for the title holders.
She has now been involved in five goals (three goals and two assists) in four matches for Randy Waldrum’s tutored side.
With the victory, the Falcons have now qualified for the 2023 FIFA World Cup in New Zealand and Australia.
They’ll next play Morocco for a place in the final of the tournament.
