Lille’s Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama

A century of International caps, an Africa Cup of Nations title and three world cup appearances…what else can a national legend ask for… A Monument maybe?

Perhaps a statue in his honor for 13 years of premium service to Nigeria will keep Vincent Enyeama transfixed and distracted from any thought of a return to the Super Eagles.

His touching letter on 8, October 2015 (10:33) not so soon forgotten hopefully, explicitly explained to Nigerians that: ” Henceforth I am no more the captain of the Nigeria senior football team, I am no more the goalie of the team. I am out of the team. I am no more available for international duties… #ENDOFANERA“.

His former teammate, Taye Taiwo said he’d rather not see the 34-year-old return to his vomit and be ridiculed if the return doesn’t turn out as rosy as hoped.

Taiwo declared for the nay debaters against the u-turn of Vincent Enyeama from international retirement… and that’s a growing disconcerting clamor.
