Amusan Not Worried About Slow Start to Season

Tobi Amusan says she remains calm after losing yet another race to rival Jasmine Camacho-Quinn on Friday.

Amusan, the World record holder, finished second behind the Puerto Rican Olympics Champion at the Diamond League in Lausanne, few days after third placed finish at Golden Spike in Ostrava.

Although the Nigerian recorded a season’s best of 12.47secs, she’s still far from her very best.

The World Champion will return to the track again this Sunday, alongside rival Jasmine Camacho-Quinn and Tia Jones.

“I don’t go to competitions worried about time, as I just try to focus on myself, my hurdles, execution, and Whatever you see on the clock is my 100%.” The Nigerian said ahead of the event.

The race in Stockholm is the second part of a three-day double bill in athletics’ premier one-day series.
