Nigeria misses out on a spot in the Women’s 200m final at the ongoing World Athletics Championship in Oregon.
The quartet of Favour Ofili, Grace Nwokocha, Rosemary Chukwuma and Udodi Onwuzurike failed to make it to the final in their respective semifinal heats.
Track sensation Favour Ofili was unlucky not to grab a place in the final as she finished third in her race with the time 22.30s.
Grace Nwokocha also returned 5th in her race with a time of 22.49s, while Rosemary Chukwuma finished 7th with a return time of 22.72s.
This means Nigeria’s wait for a spot in the Women’s a 200m final since 2013 goes on.
Meanwhile, Udodi Onwuzurike also endured a disappointing outing in the men’s 200m, as he returned with the time of 20.39 to finish 6th in a semifinal won by Noah Lyles in 19.62s.
