Nigerian athlete Favour Ofili set a new African record in the women’s 150m straight race at the Adidas Atlanta City Games.

Ofili clocked an impressive 16.30 seconds (0.0), finishing a razor-thin second place.

The Sprinter was narrowly edged out by the United States’ Candace Hill, who also finished with a time of 16.30 seconds.

Hill secured the win by the smallest margin of 0.006 seconds.

This remarkable performance comes as Ofili has already secured her qualification for the 2024 Olympics, marking her as a standout contender for the upcoming Games.
