BAL: Rivers Hoopers Coach Reaacts to Team’s Performance

Rivers Hoopers head coach, Ogoh Odaudu has expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance at the ongoing Basketball Africa League (BAL) Sahara Conference in Senegal.

The Nigerian Champions secured a 86-82 win over Rwandan side Armee Patriotique Rwandaise (APR), in their second game to make it back to back victory in the tournament.

Speaking about their success in a chat with Brila.net, Odaudu highlighted the importance of executing their game plan effectively.

He emphasized the need for the team to remain focused and avoid becoming complacent or arrogant in their approach.

“It’s been good. It’s been good so far. This was what we planned to come and do and it’s working out perfectly. The thing we have to do is just to stay focused, not get arrogant, not get casual, and pick a couple more games.”

With their sights set on qualifying for the main event in Rwanda, Coach Odaudu reiterated the importance of maintaining their discipline and determination throughout the tournament.

By virtue of the win against APR, Rivers Hoopers became the first team from Nigeria to win consecutive games at the Basketball Africa League as they also beat home side, AS Douanes who came second in last year’s tournament, in their opening game of the Sahara Conference.
