Super Sand Eagles will tackle hosts Egypt in the semi-final of the ongoing Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations on Wednesday at the Laguna Vista Stadium, Sharm El Sheikh.
The Sand Eagles qualified for the semi-final after finishing second in Group B and will now look to overcome the Egyptians who finished as Group A winners.
Nigeria started the competition with a narrow loss to Senegal, before recording back to back victories over Libya (6-3) and Tanzania (4-2) to qualify.
The Egyptians has proven to be a winning side as they made it three wins out of three in Group A, thanks to wins over Morocco (6-1), Madagascar (4-2) and Cote d’Ivoire (10-3).
A win for either country will see them securing qualification ticket to the 2019 Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup scheduled for Paraguay.
In the second semi-final match, Group A winner Senegal will take on Morocco for a place in the final.
