Club Brugge are interested in bringing back Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers back to Belgium.

According to Belgian news outlet, Footnews, Club are exploring the option of luring former KRC Genk Forward from Italy.

Dessers is struggling for form with Cremonese in the Serie A and has managed just three goals in sixteen appearances this season.

In addition, Cremonese are without a win so far this season and are currently at the base of the Standings.

However, the 28 year-old could be on his way back to Belgium with Club Brugge contacting Cremonese over a possible transfer.

“According to information from the Nieuwsblad, the leaders of Club Brugge have contacted the resident of Serie A to find out if they are open to a possible departure of their 28-year-old centre forward,” the website wrote.

The reports also revealed the Belgian Jupiler league champions are interested in a loan deal as the Nigerian striker has a long term deal with Cremonese.

Dessers enjoyed a fine loan campaign with Feyenoord last season, scoring 22 goals, including 10 goals to emerge the UEFA Europa Conference League’s highest goal scorer.

He later returned to Genk and started this campaign in good form. He scored three goals in as many games before signing for the newly promoted Serie A club.
