Abubakar Bala has resigned from his position as the head of the technical crew for Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Kwara United.
The gaffer who joined the Club from Niger Tornadoes has struggled to hit the ground running this season after several investments in the squad.
The gaffer throws in the towel after his side uninspiring draw at home against Lobi Stars of Makurdi in the NPFL Matchday 17 game.
“The coach met with his coaching staff yesterday night and informed them about his decision to resign, he also spoke with the team senior players about his departure,”
“A lot happened and he’s not ready to divulge, he has decided to sacrifice his job for the interest of the club. He appreciates the team management and everyone he has worked with since he joined the club and also the fans for the huge support. However, it’s a proper time for him to move on.”
It was rumored there’s is palpable discourse between the gaffer and the Club’s management which has led his departure.
The Afonja Warriors are fighting relegation, they lie in 10th position on the log of Group A with 15 points from 17 NPFL games.
